I stop focusing on
entertainment gossips and news but I just felt the need to speak on this after
a little conversation with some friends as regards celebrity life and reality.
The recent sad and
regrettable news of Nigeria top actress Tonto Dikeh’s marriage saga has left me
nothing but the greatest puzzle of my life as I was one of the many Nigerians
who were very happy to see how God blessed her. Well it is no longer news as it
is one of the biggest viral news of early 2017.
So, Tonto Dikeh
invested all that money, time and energy to make us believe she had the best
husband and life? The luxury cars, jewelries, vacation, birthday parties
and clothes. Only to tell us they were all lies? That he never bought her
anything, that she was just putting up a show to upgrade him?
Separation is never
a good thing, but before one can even think of that, when kids are involved is
it the best option? Notwithstanding, how Nigeria celebrities handle things
make me wonder if their life is more of a reality show outside their
professional life.
What happens to
family handling private matters if it can no longer be handled by the parties involved?
What happen to your various religious leaders if the family cannot meet that
need? And what ever happen to keeping family life private from the judgment of
the world?
With the all these
share public outburst, how is reconciliation ever going to be possible haven
out each other that much? Telling us about him, does she one way or the other
knows she is telling the educated masses about herself? How some fraction of the
populace may want to think she married because of status stating from her words
that he (Churchill) was after all not related to Obasanjo in any way, as regards the
Obasanjo nephew thingy on who she think he was? I may sound very orthodox but I
still believe marriage as a typical African man is very sacred, and we are not
doing our self good outing our life to the world.
I can't stop
imagining how many people felt less of themselves watching the euphoria. How
many marriages and relationships were wrecked because, some of us got mad that
our partners were not doing enough.
Some girl you know
just had a flamboyant wedding and while she is feeling miserable that it was
all her money, with little or no support from her husband, you're also feeling
miserable because your wedding was nothing compared to hers, despite your
husband's total support? Is time to take a minute and think,
Your friends have
their kids in the most expensive schools and while they are dying of
hypertensive heart disease over school fees, you're having same health
challenge because you can't take your mind off the fact that, you can't afford
that school for your kids?
The slay queen or
king on your timeline won't stop posting pictures of their designers clothes,
hair, shoes, bags and jewelries and while they have slept with half the men and
women in town, running and hiding from debtors, you're running and hiding too
because, you feel you're not presentable!
Things do not
always appear the way they are. Never lose a wink of sleep on what you see on
social media. Life is more than all that as you’ll never know the length
people go to paint a happy and successful picture.
